Boat donation for a noble cause

I could hardy believe it when a friend said that he would donate a boat to those boat donation charity sites. Although he was actually quite rich, I did not understand why in the first place he would do such a thing so I asked him and was amazed at his answer. It all turns out that he was a real humanitarian person and he had actually gone to see Africa last year and was saddened by what he saw back then.
